Four Months Old

Sweet Finley Jaymes-

I cannot believe that only four short months ago you entered our lives. Our hearts grew that day, but little did we know just how much they would continue to grow. You are the light of our lives. I know that sounds silly, but it is true. You are the most precious baby and you light up every room you enter. You have the BEST wide open mouth smile and your eyes sparkle when you do it. A stranger even commented on how you show such expression through your eyes. (which was sweet, but kinda weird...)

We don't know of a happier baby. You have won the heart of your big brother. He can't kiss you enough and wherever you are, he wants to be. When you're not around or sleeping all we hear is "where Finley go?" You are starting to watch Jack's every move and he can bring the biggest smiles to your face and the quickest tears by accidentally loving you too much sometimes!

You are growing so fast and are such a strong baby. You have been holding your head up and standing up since you were about 2 months old. Everyone asks us how you are so strong, our response..."she's perfect!" and perfect you are.

This month you...

~started sleeping in your crib- you go down around 8:30. On good nights you sleep right through until 7 am. Most nights you like to wake up around 4 am and have paci wars with mommy until 7. Aunt Sarah taught us about the miracle blanket and you CANNOT sleep with out it! I don't know what we'll do when you grow out of it!

~are eating like a champ! You love to nurse, which is so different than your brother, and mommy loves that! It has turned you into a mama's girl at times!

~are talking like CRAZY! We love listening to your elaborate stories, which can go one for quite sometime! We'll take every second of this because, from what we hear, in about 15 years you won't be so interested in talking to us!

~are constantly chewing on your tongue- DROOL CITY!

~are starting to roll over. You've mastered tummy to back, but we're stilling working on back to tummy.

~found your toes!! and now you can't get them out of your hands!

~have started playing with toys! You will sit in the bumbo and just play for a good 20 minutes.

~went on your first plane ride and what a doll baby you were!! You slept the whole time! The beach was fun, even though we had to worry about keeping you all covered up!

You hair still stands STRAIGHT up!! It's getting longer and shows no signs of laying down! Mommy put bows on to mask your crazy hair, but Daddy prefers NO BOWS!!

It seems like this summer we're always on the go, keeping big brother busy, so your in the car seat a lot! Mommy worries about it, but you don't seem to mind!

My sweet, sweet girl you have enriched our lives so much in such a short time. Our family is truly complete now that you are a part of it.

My heart swells as I think of all the times ahead!
