Last night was our first Christmas celebration of the season.
We headed over to Mimi and Pops to spend the evening with Grandma Alice and John Paul.
We had a great dinner and spent lots of time catching up. At the end of the evening it was time to open presents- Jack dove right in. Completely unafraid and knowing EXACTLY what to do this time around. I think his birthday was good practice.
He tore right and and low and behold it was a John Deere Tractor – the OH WOWS were flying.
Now this is no where near Jack’s first time to play with these tractors. Mimi has TONS from when Uncle Brad and daddy were little, and Jack spends all his time with them when he’s at Mimi’s. But this one was special- this one was JACK’S!
We waited patiently as Pops got it all unwrapped.
btw- in the meantime he opened another present that was clothes.
He threw the shirt on the ground and didn’t even go back to look in the gift bag again- which had some super cute black cords- Thanks Grandma!
Uncle Brad showing us how to work the front loader.
He was one happy guy for the rest of the night and every couple minutes he would pat the tractor and say “Jack’s”, to remind us all that it was HIS!
We took some pictures and started saying goodbye to everyone and…our little guy who NEVER wants to leave Mimi’s?? Well he was the first one out the door calling “BYEEE” to everyone. As if, we were going to realize there was a mistake and he was going to have to leave it there!
This tractor went to bed with us last night…
( I so wanted to take a picture, but didn’t want to wake him up)
…and woke up with us this morning
…and this is the only way Mom got Jack to eat breakfast
Just when you think you could never love them more…
